Processing~Transfer Stations

Free Mulch & Compost

 

FREE MULCH & COMPOST

Any resident of DeKalb County can pickup compost/mulch from DeKalb County transfer stations. The procedure for picking up compost/mulch is as follows:

A: Inform the Scale Attendant that you are a DeKalb County Resident and that you would like to piciup some compost/mulch.

B: Follow the directions to the compost/mulch area.

C: Each resident is responsible for pickup/placing the compost/mulch in their designated container.

Northern Avenue & Memorial Drive (Next to the Tax Commissioner's Office)

Hours that compost is available:
7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (M-F)
Closed Saturday and Sundays (Weekends)

 

Central Transfer Station

ONLY customers with a Sanitation Commercial Account can utilize the transfer stations. Citizens ARE NOT allowed to use any of the transfer stations.

No construction and demolition waste is accepted at ANY transfer station – residents can transport this material for Seminole Road Landfill for disposal – see Seminole Road Landfill for disposal charge.
